Synectics Announces
3-Way Fleet Partnership
Synectics, GS Corporate Risk Services and Backhouse Jones Solicitors have teamed up to offer bus and coach operators a rapid response, insurance claims service, called 3-Way Fleet, that will significantly reduce insurance premiums.Until now only the very largest operators have had the ability to self insure considerable proportions of their risk by adopting a policy with excess levels of up to £1 million. Operators who can afford to arrange their insurance cover on such a basis have considerably cut premiums and their overall cost of risk. Users of Synectics' Genius system, as part of their overall risk management, are now able to adopt this approach by utilising 3-Way Fleet to reduce their insurance premiums.
Using the Genius journey management system to improve driver training has been shown to reduce driver incidents and thus insurance claims. Indeed one operator has reported a 50% reduction in driver incidents using the Genius system.
“It has been proven that when an operator decides to opt for an increased excess their approach to risk management sharpens as they look to minimise their excess costs. Genius gives them the ability to manage this risk,” says Graham Jones, divisional managing director, Synectics' mobile systems business. "3-Way Fleet is a unique combination of services aimed at really helping operators reduce their costs in three ways: cost of claims, cost of insurance and cost of running their actual fleet."
Backhouse Jones Solicitors is one of the leading specialist road transport solicitors operating in the UK, with clients in the private and public sector, both national and international, operating from one to several thousand vehicles.
“The law operates with systematic hindsight to penalise operators whereas the Genius product provides contemporaneous foresight to avoid the clutches of 'no win-no fee' charlatans with an eye for the main chance,” observes Ian Jones, director, Backhouse Jones Solicitors. “Our aim is to work with our clients and Synectics to assist them in the reduction of the incidents of accidents and claims, and to provide the relevant hard facts, where required, to assist with defending fraudulent claims.”
G S Corporate Risk Services is the corporate arm of GSIS and has considerable expertise and experience within the transport insurance industry. It was the first company to introduce risk management, motor fleet insurance, the fore runner to underwriting philosophies adopted by most insurers today.
“Implementing a risk management approach to bus and coach insurance is vital for all operators irrespective of size. We believe that Genius offers the best approach through its driver training features and CCTV Heath Checker. The combination of improved, safer driving and CCTV incident images under 3-Way Fleet will reduce claims and where a claim is made will allow it to be settled quickly, says Andrew Watson, director, G S Corporate Risk Services.
