| Synectics provides Ex CCTV to expanding Sisi-Nubi Gas Field |
|
Extreme environment CCTV specialist, Synectics Industrial Systems, has been awarded a high profile contract by Cegelec, to supply a comprehensive Ex CCTV system to phase one of the new Sisi-Nubi gas field development project for Total E&P Indonesia. The Sisi-Nubi facility consists of several offshore installations linked by pipeline to the gas field centre at Tatun, the development of which will take place in five phases. The Synectics designed system will encompass modularity at its heart to facilitate its expansion into the next four stages of the Sisi-Nubi gas field, which include; Manifold Wellhead Platforms (MWP), Wellhead Platforms (WP) and the Sisi-Nubi Production Separation Platform (SNPS). This network of production facilities will be unmanned, so the reliable remote monitoring of production conditions and intruder access is of primary importance. Synectics will be installing the COEXTM EExd certified FECH camera housings specifically developed for this type of application. The camera housings are equipped with EExd certified FEPT hazardous area pan & tilt units, which enable full pan, tilt and zoom camera functionality. Robust, versatile and cost-effective, the FECH camera head is ideal for this type of application, as well as most types of hazardous environments, and is proven around the world in petrochemical plants, offshore platforms and other marine environments. With it’s precision tolerance sealing on external flanges ensuring a high degree of ingress protection against airborne salt and other particulates, and it’s construction using high-grade 316L stainless steel, which is electro polished to further resist tarnishing (a real problem in the open marine environment of the Sisi-Nubi Field Development), the FECH camera head is durable enough to cope with the most hostile of conditions at Sisi-Nubi. Images from these specialist cameras will be received and controlled in a purpose built control room at the gas field centre of Tatun. |
