| Synectics Provides CCTV for wellhead platforms |

Hazardous area CCTV surveillance specialists Synectics Industrial Systems, has been awarded the contract to supply the Candax Energy El Bibane redevelopment project in Tunisia, by the Tunisian industrial oil and gas contractor, Pireco.
Synectics will be supplying its industry standard COEX™ FECH/3 PTZ camera stations to wellhead platforms EBB3, 4 and 5, located at offshore Tunisia. The EExd rated ATEX certified FECH camera station is specifically designed for Hazardous Area applications, proven in installations worldwide, including petrochemical plants, offshore platforms and various marine environments. Its electro-polished 316L stainless steel construction affords maximum corrosion resistance, and compliance to IP68 and EExd IIC T6 ATEX II 2 GD certification. Each FECH/3 PTZ camera stations houses Synectics telemetry receivers, enabling full remote zoom, pan, tilt, focus control from the control room, along with Synectics’ ‘FEWS’ wash/wipe technology. Visual information from each camera will be IP encoded via a central equipment rack and transmitted to the onshore control room via a dedicated LAN link along with critical alarm input information, allowing CCTV operators to confirm any emergency alarm, and react rapidly to any situation with a wide variety of measures, including a full remote shutdown if necessary. Each of the three wellhead platforms is to be connected via a LAN link to the onshore control room, allowing instant review of live and recorded data via a dedicated PC terminal. |
