Critical infrastructure sites of major banking institutions i.e. Data Centres, Cash Centres and Corporate Headquarters are being protected with sophisticated Synectics networked systems. Ranging from our analogue matrix switchers and associated telemetry equipment, up to our Modular Digital Recording System, everything is managed by our graphical user interface, Synergy-Pro.

Various different manufacturers’ access control, intercom and intruder control panels have been integrated into the system, along with an extensive selection of other third party interfaces. Video quality, retention and retrieval are of the upmost importance, with systems able to record in real time, at broadcast quality, if required.

Branch Systems

New for the banking sector, Synectics have developed an entry level Digital Video Recorder designed to remove the complexities faced by busy branch staff normally associated with video recording and image retreival. Developed to protect against robbery and cross-counter fraud the unit uitlises Synectics H.264 encoding and operates on a stable Linux platform, allowing for exceptionally high quality on-board video recording and low bandwidth transmission.

This unit is primarily a “black box” solution, using a web browser application or can interface into the Synectics Synergy-Pro Management System. The unit has been designed to work in a harsh environment, tolerant of high temperatures, dust and mechanical abuse (Comms Room environment not required). Packed with all the usual DVR functions and more, this unit is available in eight and sixteen way variants.

Remote ATM Sites

Remote ATM sites can be vulnerable installations requiring protection against unique security threats such as armed robbery of Cash-in-Transit crews, gross attack of the ATM and fraud from cash transactions.

Synectics has developed a range of cost effective products as a solution which offer all the benefits of full frame rate performance for live and recorded images, using bandwidth saving H.264 encoding.

Wireless connectivity is an option using 802.11 or 3G wireless links, or by conventional Ethernet transmission back to a Synectics Synergy-Pro Management System. The unit has the option for audio recording and a plug on embedded intelligent Video Analytical Processor. These feature rich products can also be used in many different applications with the knowledge that Synectics will continuously develop and support all products.
