Position: Proposals / Sales Engineer
Reports To: Sales Engineering Manager
Department: Industrial Systems
Location: Brigg, UK
Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager – we require a Proposals/Sales Engineer to produce technical and commercial proposals for CCTV projects in hazardous, marine and industrial markets of large complexity and size
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce professional quality detailed proposals for engineered solutions to customer requirements
- Ensure proposals are competitive in close conjunction with internal/external Sales Managers and Agents, including risk analysis.
- Liase appropriately with internal departments such as Technical Support, Operations and Purchasing/Logistics.
- Ongoing linkage with Project Department from Contract Review/handover of projects through implementation and completion.
- Monitoring and reviewing the quality of the proposal (content, style and layout)
- Critical assessment of tender documents to assess viability
- Operate as part of a team-based proposal assessment process

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Educated to a high level in electrical/electronic engineering
- Excellent command of English language
- Highly numerate
- Highly computer-literate
- Understanding the requirements of electrical equipment installed in hazardous areas
- Experience in IP / Ethernet and large scale CCTV applications
- Experience in systems engineering and/or project management
- Experience in writing proposals for technical systems
- Experience in working with international customers
